Cambridgeshire County Championships 2025

A group of swimmers from Wisbech Swimming Club travelled to Parkside pool in Cambridge to take part in the 2025 Swim England Cambridgeshire County Championships. 

The swimmers, aged from 9 to 15 have been preparing tirelessly over the past few months in anticipation of this event. The County Championships offer an incredible opportunity for swimmers to not only compete at a higher level but also to demonstrate their individual growth and development.

Adam Chuchra (9), Arabella Tysterman (11), Ella Norman (15), Esmai Smith (13), Holly Smith (12), Isabella Burton (15), Maisie Bishop (11), Oscar Muller (11) & Poppy Ryan (13), competed in a range of events, with some excellent results.

Adam Chuchra won a gold medal becoming county champion in the 200m Freestyle, while Arabella Tysterman won six golds, becoming county champion in 200m Individual Medley, 200m Freestyle, 100m Freestyle, 100m Backstroke, 100m Breaststroke & 50m Backstroke.

Throughout the event, the nine swimmers that attended were in fine form, winning a total of 25 medals, achieving an amazing 72 personal best times, and gaining 20 qualifying times for the upcoming long course regional championships.
